The LBG Network Operations Department is instrumental in the forward thinking and vision of the company providing infrastructure support and services company wide.

In an added effort to reach out to our staff, students and parents providing more information on future outage schedules and network downtime status reports as to the current network systems functionality. we have established this website as well as a toll free network status telephone line (+1-877-422-3338) and our engineers have the ability to provide updates via http://twitter.com/lbgnetworkstats/.

The LBG network is having ISP connection difficulties  due to an ISP service outage based upon the following notification:

“Customers with traffic going through or on the east coast may be experiencing packet loss and higher than normal latency due to a fiber cut in New Jersey. There is no ETR at this time. “

Our technical staff are monitoring the situation and have talked with our ISP provider who assures us they are working to reroute network traffic. Any issues beyond connection issues , should be addressed to our Customer Service Department.

There is a weather advisory for the Mid-Atlantic and Northeast regions. A storm is currently moving up the East coast and possible snow accumulations of 12” to 18” are being forecasted including potential blizzard conditions. All LBG network sites and vendors have taken precautionary measures in case of power loss. Our partners at Switch & Data have generators which have been tested and fuel levels verified. Backup fuel vendors have been notified and placed on standby. LBG Network technicians will be monitoring our network sites ensuring 24/7 coverage and we have our network team on call to respond to issues.

Technicians will be performing network switch upgrades on the ISP#1 network.

Start:  10/17/09 21:01:00 PST

Stop:  10/18/09 01:00:00 PST

Impact: The LBG Office will experience an interruption of Internet services of one to two minutes during the maintenance window.

This outage will only affect employee VPN usage and Local Office Internet operations, parents and students will not be affected by this routine maintenance.

ISP#1 Technicians will be performing urgent Fiber maintenance which will affect our service node.

Stop:  06/28/09 04:00:00 Pacific Standard Time

This outage will only affect VPN usage and Local Office Internet operations, parents and students will not be affected by this urgent maintenance.

There will be a scheduled outage April 8th, 2009 for the Learning By Grace Office Local Area Network to repair the VPN. This outage will occur after 8PM and will not effect normal office operations. The outage will last approximately 3 hours.  No students or parents will be effected by this schedule outage.
